With a huge big room build up and intense synths, these two producers just unleashed one of the most vivacious, high-energy jump house tunes of 2013! Only a preview for now, but the full track will be available for purchase on February 4th via Spinnin’ Records.

Quintino b2b w/ Afrojack – Live @ Pier 94, NY [12.31.12]

8 Jan

artworks-000037447333-5br8tl-cropBringing on the New Year in fashion, the good folks at both RPM & Pacha put together a stellar line up for their Pier 94 all-night rager. With Wall Recordings head honcho Afrojack at the helm, he invited a few friends along like R3Hab, Shermanology, Zawdi, Tommie Sunshine, new signee Leroy Styles, and most importantly our boy Quintino. Where some believe the ‘Dutch house‘ sound has strayed from it’s roots, Quintino is definitive of the fact that organic and original Dutch tunes can still be created. His back to back set with Afrojack on New Years Eve was chock full of exclusive remixes, live edits, and unreleased music. His energy level is unparalleled and that effort transfers directly into both his production and live sets. Unfortunately, the set comes with no track listing available (YET), so we’ll have to wait for some of these exclusives to be announced at a later date or keep asking Q until he tells us, ha! Download the set below and jam out with the Wall Recordings team like it’s 2013. Wait a minute…

UPDATE: Quintino has put up the tracklist for his NYE set, so hit the jump and check out some of the exclusives!

Eddie Thoneick – One Good Reason (Quintino Remix)

Eddie Thoneick - One Good Reason (Quintino Remix)

Fresh off a solid US tour and simulatenously gearing up for a HUGE New Years Eve at Pier 94 with Afrojack R3hab & Shermanology, it’s clear that Quintino is working hard. Through all this touring, he still manages to churn out great remixes. This time Quintino tackles the vocal bomb of Eddie Thoneick’s ‘One Good Reason’. The lyrics lay the foundation for a scattered bassline drop that encompasses Dutch and big room elements. Basically, Q killed it with this one. Head on over to Beatport and pick this one up.

Cedric Gervais – Molly (Quintino Remix)

8 Aug

It seems like no matter what dance music does, it can never get away from its polarizing friend/enemy, Molly. Whether you agree with Cedric Gervais (and seemingly Quintino) and think she’s just misunderstood, want to ride her coat tails back to popularity like Madonna, or you’re sick of her bullshit all together and want to focus on your own music like Deadmau5, she’s virtually inescapable in the world of EDM. Looking into the track, Quintino doesn’t mix things up too much in his reworking of Gervais’ big room hit, but he does let it stray away from Cedric’s snare-driven Dutch roots and twerks the melodies for what I would describe as the American palette — louder, more tonal synthesizers, a lower drop and a nice ride out for all us DJ’s who need a beat to mix out of…remember jammers, whatever and (whoever) you’re into, be safe. A PSA from PB&J.

#JACKED (Afrojack, R3hab, Quintino) @ Pacha NYC – 6.28 [Review]

5 Jul

Time and time again I repeat myself in saying that there HAS to be something in that Dutch water that allows their native DJ’s and producers to become so talented yet versatile, and the JACKED team, consisting of Afrojack, Quintino, R3hab and many more, is the definition of this fact. When it came to reviewing their most recent NYC tour stop, I found myself lacking the proper words to describe the experience without repeating the words and phrases “insane”, “epic” and “life-changing” over and over.

With the stage set for three of the biggest names in EDM to tear down Pacha NYC from 11-5 back-to-back, I called out of work as soon as I saw the flyer. With the entire JACKED tour exploring the farthest reaches and most popular areas of the US, it was only natural to have a second stop in NYC, and especially at one of our all time favorite venues: Pacha.

Daft Punk vs. Elite Force vs. The Loops Of Fury – Aerodynamic Be Strong (Quintino Bootleg)

16 Jun

For all you die hard Quintino fans, this bootleg is probably pretty familiar as the Q man plays it in most of his sets — Tiesto even played it on his Club Life podcast. With ‘Aerodynamic‘ providing the backdrop and build for this Loops of Fury remix, Quintino yet again unleashes one of the best bootlegs in his setlist. The bouncy Dutch rhythm and drums coupled with the grinding electro vocal cuts will make ‘Aerodynamic Be Strong’ a massive hit this summer.
