Release: Bluestone – Capetown [Anjunabeats]

8 Oct

Chances are that if you’ve been to a recent Above & Beyond show, you’ve probably jammed out to Illan Bluestone (better known simply as Bluestone)’s latest track ‘Capetown’ which has been a major staple in their sets all summer. The genre-blending tune straddles the line between trance and progressive, and even possesses some tech elements that give it a real ethereal feel.

Coming off the heat from his collaboration with Maori Levi and his original tune, Namaste’, Bluestone solidifies his place on the Anjunabeats roster with this euphoric release and some wildly epic vocal cuts. Released today, you can head on over to Beatport and pick this one up!

Audien – Eventide / Unity

13 Aug

Oh ok it’s another Anjuna release. Hmm, he’s 19…hey this is pretty good and OH MY GOD HE’S FROM CONNECTICUT. What the hell? We have officially reached another level of involvement, another state of trance…from my experience, the northeast (not including NYC) has long been a home to novices, amateurs; those half-involved in the scene. But to have been putting music out for two years and to have releases on Armada & Anjunabeats…I’m truly impressed with Audien. This EP is pure big room trance – for the record hand claps pave the road to my heart – and I love it. Check out his August Promo Mix and buy the EP on Beatport now!  Support, jammers!

Jaytech – Multiverse (Album Review)

12 Aug

Being a part of the Anjuna family comes with high expectations, but this doesn’t seem to be a problem for Jaytech. Working under the same label as guys like Mat Zo, Arty, and the legendary Above & Beyond has certainly paid off big time. Since he dropped his first album on Anjunadeep, he’s been steadily climbing and perfecting his craft. This Multiverse album that drops tomorrow represents the transition Jaytech has made during that time period. During this journey he has gone from a solid opener to a legitimate headliner…

Mat Zo Speaking “Jump” on The Language Tour

11 Jul

This past weekend, Colorado had the pleasure of hosting Porter Robinson’s Language Tour for two nights in a row: the Boulder Theater, in Boulder on Friday night; and The Ogden Theater, in Denver, on Saturday.  With opening acts The M Machine & Mat Zo, it was bound to be a happy, fun night! I arrived at The Ogden a few minutes before The M Machine closed out, so I can’t give too much of a review on that aspect, but from what little I did catch, it seemed like the perfect way to get the night started for the fast–rising EDM superstar Mat Zo and, later on, Porter Robinson.

Take a small leap to hear about the rest of the evening!

Audien – Eventide

8 Jul

Nate Rathbun is the newest member of Anjunabeats, going by the name of Audien. The kid’s tracks have been lighting up Trance Around the World lately and rightfully so. I first heard The Reach’ a couple weeks ago and thought this was someone to watch out for. Then today while listening to the latest episode I had to stop everything I was doing and play his latest track, ‘Eventide’, back a good 10 times. If you’re a fan of big, uplifting tunes with heavy leads then look no further. Audien’s got you covered.
