Due to Overwhelming Demand, Datsik to Perform Twice in NYC in One Week

16 Jan

Following last Saturday’s sold out leg of the Firepower Reloaded tour at the Best Buy Theater, dubstep producer and overall bad boy Datsik has announced he will be returning to NYC this Friday, January 18th. Datsik, aka Troy Beetles, was originally scheduled to perform this Friday in Asbury Park, NJ, but do to “venue restrictions as well as an overwhelming demand” event organizers decided to move the show to Irving Plaza.

Since his premier in 2009, the young artist has seen a huge rise in success, with top slots at nearly every festival across the country, numerous chart-topping releases, and collaborations with the likes of BassnectarExcision12th PlanetFlux Pavilion, and Diplo, it’s easy to see why Datsik is in such high demand. The Firepower Reloaded Tour is continuing through the 25th of January, and features support from our boy GRiZBrillzRekoil and Barron. Tickets for the rescheduled Friday show at Irving Plaza are still available here!

DIRTY – Dirtyphonics

4 Nov

Our friends over at The Collective just sent us this epic music video for Dirtyphonics’ latest single which is out now on Dim Mak Records and entitled none other than, ‘Dirty’. And to be honest, that one word really sums this one up – this is five minutes of hard, stage-destined, in-your-face dubstep/dnb/electro with a sprinkle of trap. As the first single off their upcoming album, Irreverence, ‘Dirty’ has had quite the showing with thousands and thousands of plays along with remixes from artists like 12th Planet, Metrik, Darth & Vader and Nicolas Malinowsky. Check out the video above as it’s definitely one of the more creative music videos I’ve seen and stay tuned for more Dirtyphonics coming soon!

Electric Zoo 2012 (Set Times)

22 Aug

Yesterday our friends over at Made Event released the Official Set Times for this year’s Electric Zoo, which is set to blast off next weekend over Labor Day in New York City. The popular festival (now in its fourth year) is shaping up to be more than epic this time around on Randall’s Island with an all-star lineup and curated tents from the likes of Fools Gold & Dim Mak! The level of talent that EZoo is able to bring to New York each year is truly impressive and that certainly makes our jobs harder as there’s always gonna be conflicting sets when you put this many big boys in the same venue. Some of the artists making the trip this year include: 12th Planet, A-Trak, Above & Beyond, Adrian Lux, Adventure Club, Axwell, Bart B More, Benga, Benny Benassi, Bingo Players, 3LAU, Bloody Beetroots, Boys Noize, Brodinski, Dada Life, DallasK, Datsik, David Guetta, Dillon Francis, Diplo, EOTO, Excision, Ferry Corsten, Flux Pavilion & Doctor P, Gesaffelstein, Hardwell, Jack Beats, Kill the Noise, Knife Party, Laidback Luke, Martin Solveig, Mat Zo, Michal Menert, Mord Fustang, Morgan Page, Mt. Eden, Nervo, Nick Catchdubs, Nicky Romero, Paper Diamond, Pierce Fulton, Porter Robinson, Pretty Lights, Rusko, Sander Van Doorn, Skrillex, Steve Aoki, Tiesto, Tommy Trash, Treasure Fingers, Wolfgang Gartner, Zedd, Zeds Dead and more…like come on. Hope to see everyone out there – tickets are still available below but they’re going quick!

CounterPoint Lineup!

8 May

Today our friends at MCP & C3 Presents announced the Official Lineup up for CounterPoint Festival this fall in Atlanta, Georgia. The inaugural event will be taking place over three days at the end of September and marks the marriage of two these two amazing festival organizers who have made a name for themselves throwing Camp Bisco, BUKU and Lollapalooza (respectively). While our expectations were high, no one could have predicted the true amazaingness of CounterPoint’s lineup – which is sure to render the event as the premiere music festival in Georgia and the rest of the deep south next semester. Just the headliners alone are enough reasons to get out to Atlanta with Bassnectar, Avicii, Skrillex, Pretty Lights and Steve Angello all at the top of the bill. Almost equally impressive, however,  are the artists who make up the rest of the spots on the roster, including M83, Excision, Laidback Luke, Alesso, Crystal Castles, Big Boi, Zeds Dead, Big Gigantic, Wale, Ghostland, A-Trak, Atmosphere, LOTUS, Feed Me, MiM0SA, Zedd, R3hab, Theophilus London, 12th Planet, Beats Antique, Super Mash Bros, Emancipator, Alvin Risk, Savoy, Zoogma, Paper Diamond, Treasure Fingers, 3lau, Gramatik, Archnemesis, Michal Menert, Paul Basic, Nick Catchdubs and more! Tickets and the Full Lineup are available now on the CounterPoint site along with further information regarding the venue, camping and travel options. See you all at CounterPoint!
