Above & Beyond ft. Richard Bedford- ‘On My Way to Heaven’ (Official Music Video)

11 Jul

Above and Beyond offer a ray of perfect sunshine with their down-tempo single ‘On My Way to Heaven‘ as the group’s recent video release relinquishes a deluge of theatrics, ironic ambiance and lots of ruffled collars. Expressing their creativity at its weirdest, the English trio have completely phased out the traditional EDM video consisting of confetti and strobe lights, and dare I say, I think it’s beautifully bizarre. Jono, Paavo, Tony and their farfetched eccentricity will be returning to the US July 18th for Global Dance Festival 2012 kicking off in Detroit, Michigan…don’t miss it!

The Weirdness Continues with Pierce Fulton’s Second Radio Show Installment

2 Jul

Pierce Fulton is at it again, brightening our day with a delivery of carefully selected tracks on the second installment of his monthly Get Weird radio show on Tiesto’s Club Life station on Sirius XM. Remixes from A-Trak, Beltek & Pierce himself make for a synergized combination. Eclectic, funky and powerful are among some of the traits Pierce’s energy manifests throughout his music always. With clips of Pierce explaining some of his track choices, it’s impossible not to gravitate towards his refreshing dedication to the electronic dance music industry. Smack in the middle of his radio set, Pierce incorporates his remix of Steve Aoki’s ‘Come With Me’, which is also featured in Fulton‘s video Chapter 3 (Part 1). Check the tracklist at the jump. Enjoy!

Pierce Fulton- Chapter 3, Part 1: Chinatown, Brooklyn and Vermont Cookin’ Video Release

14 Jun

Yesterday, our favorite dorm room producer Pierce Fulton released his latest video, Chapter 3 (Part 1) in which cameras shadow him throughout New York City and his hometown in Vermont. It’s increasingly difficult not to fall in love with Pierce and his drive to create an eclectic sound while still catering to his own personal tastes. “One thing I noticed was a lot of the time people are really pleasantly surprised with my sets because I don’t really play a lot of tracks that people know, instead I do my own edits […] It’s like the best of both worlds they have something that they like, and I have something that I like,” explains Fulton. The video creates a modest tribute to the road Pierce is paving for himself and other up and coming artists alike. Pierce’s remix of Steve Aoki’s ‘Come With Me’ gives his video an upbeat vibe that carries throughout several interview clips and interactions with Pierce and his crew. Quirky anecdotes, clips of him hanging with his dog and the depiction of his excitement post his first headlining gig at Santos Party House makes Pierce Fulton one of the most genuine DJ/producers in the industry.

I watched the video more times than I feel comfortable stating (I’m sure you will too). Coincidentally, the video features my best friend donning a PB&J™ t-shirt so that makes me famous by association, right? Great, enjoy basking in Pierce Fulton’s sunshine! Let us know what you think @pnutandjams

Mat Zo Performs at Pulse St. Louis with What Would Have Been His EDC Set

14 Jun

Standing at the forefront of a new generation, Mat Zo delivers the undeniably unresistable ethos of electronic dance music at Pulse St. Louis this weekend. A groovy opening gives way to a kinetic, hour-long set, finishing strong with a Daft Punk remix. Harder. Better. Faster. Stronger. Why yes, I’d say Mat Zo’s What Would Have Been set covers all of those bases. The only thing better than this set, I’m sure, is to have experienced it live at the Electric Daisy Carnival. Better luck next time, Mr. Zo. Until then, beautiful people, sink into his delicious tunes below and hit the jump for the full tracklist.
